The Las Vegas Raiders:
Derek Carr has had a solid career with the Raiders, but it looks like Raiders aren’t in a rush to keep him around. While a quarterback with over 4,000 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and 9 interceptions last season isn’t something to sneeze at, the three-time Pro-Bowler will be an unrestricted free agent in 2023 with no sure sign of a commitment past that year.
Raiders head coach Jon Gruden also has been raving about the chance to work with former No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota more than he has been excited about the chance to work with Derek Carr, signaling that he may want to go with an younger, higher-upside option.
However, with Watson now available, Gruden could consider a move of the caliber with Carr providing some extremely valuable trade bait. While this is highly unlikely, this is an article of what ifs but also not outside of a realistic shot.
